The Authors

Curtis Hibbs and Joshua Barnes are co-creators of Effective Enterprise AI and Applied End-to-End Flow, and co-authors of Applied End-to-End Flow: Enterprise. Their work combines enterprise diagnosis, value-delivery mechanics, and practical intervention patterns across strategy, portfolios, value streams, and teams.

Curtis Hibbs

Curtis Hibbs is an enterprise transformation and AI-adoption executive. He builds the governance, workflows, and adoption systems that connect strategy to delivered outcomes, then puts measures in place to establish whether those outcomes are being achieved. His focus is the design of work: how people, AI, information, and decisions come together to deliver value.

At Boeing, Curtis served as Chief Agile Evangelist and Tech Fellow. He founded and led the company-wide Lean+Agile transformation across a 5,500-engineer function, extending software engineering improvements into hardware disciplines where delivery required coordination across the whole system. His broader career spans aerospace, defense, financial services, healthcare, and technology startups.

Curtis spent nearly six years at PMI advancing the Disciplined Agile body of knowledge and co-creating Disciplined Agile Next with Joshua. He is a Founding Fellow and former Board Member of the Lean Systems Society, and author of The Art of Lean Software Development. Earlier in his career, he invented real-time closed captioning for broadcast television.

Joshua Barnes

Joshua Barnes is the founder of Process Mentors and creator of e2e Flow, a reference model used worldwide to make value delivery visible from ideation through consumable release and to surface systemic constraints in delivery systems. He is co-creator of Applied End-to-End Flow and co-authors the Applied End-to-End Flow Series with Curtis Hibbs.

For over two decades Joshua has guided Fortune 100 companies, government agencies, and enterprises across financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, and retail. His work focuses on improving end-to-end value delivery flow, translating strategy into execution, and quantifying Cost of Delay. He has coached executives, trained thousands of practitioners, and guided hundreds of teams using Agile, Lean, Hybrid, and value stream management approaches.

Joshua is a LinkedIn Learning author, international keynote speaker, and livestream host, and has served on the board of the Value Stream Management Consortium. He is also co-creator of Disciplined Agile Next, and one of the few consultants globally to have maintained an active Disciplined Agile consulting engagement every year since its original release by IBM in 2012.
